In the context of socially-relevant experiences, connecting the art classroom learning to environmental and ecological concerns provides students with the opportunity to do something for the collective good.
These learning to learn” or generalizable” skills are critical for children to gain and apply to their education more broadly. Arts for Learning is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing teaching and learning through the arts and community cultural resources by linking learning experiences to the real world.
The EduArts Map – This initiative enhances access to arts education through the development of a national online map of arts opportunities. I would argue that it is just as critical for all students to learn to respect all cultures by learning about a variety of cultural groups.
