Hilary Moss is Senior Lecturer in Music Therapy at the World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick, Ireland and until recently the Director of the National Centre for Arts and Health, Tallaght Hospital, Dublin. The timely and critical role of the creative arts in action in many forms for social change is discussed and illustrative research articles address topics such as immigration and identity, racism, aboriginal health and institutional life, mental health, disability and other vital community issues such as access to clean water and raising environmental consciousness.

Engage Cymru worked in partnership with Oriel Myrddin, Arts Care and artist Julia Griffiths-Jones alongside adults recovering from mental health concerns in Carmarthenshire who produced an exhibition of incredible wire sculpture which was shown at the National Botanic Gardens of Wales.
The judges also agreed a record twenty-nine commendations in the Health Professional category, reflecting the high quality of entries, with a further sixteen poems commended in the Open category, from poets from around the world: the UK, Ireland, the USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore, the Philippines and Switzerland.
