This course introduces learners to a variety of fundamental, essential communication skills that are vital for success in further levels of study in applied arts disciplines. The Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) prepares graduates for a range of careers, in fields such as marketing, advertising, editing, public relations, industrial relations, management, sales, tourism, administration, public service, and community work.

Learners will identify areas of strength and areas where skills need to be further developed in order to meet the expectations of the industry. Students complete specified units of study in media and communications over four years and a major from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences Table A subject areas which can be completed as a two or three year defined sequence of study.arts and communication

The Arts, Literature and Communication program will prepare students for university studies in fields related to the arts including education, law, communication studies, journalism, visual and performing arts, film studies, film production, english, creative writing, political science, foreign languages, public relations, history, translation, linguistics, theatre and many others.
