Hawaii`s Creative Industries

Every summer, Music Omi invites approximately tweleve to fifteen musicians — composers and performers from around the globe — to come together for two and a half weeks in a unique collaborative music making residency program. Folk music is the product of a musical tradition that has been evolved through the process of oral transmission. In Second Arts-Music, students take Music as a Single Subject (50 credits) or a Major Subject (40 credits) or a Joint Subject (30 credits). With music you do learn history as well since you learn about the time periods and composers.arts and music

Lesson Program – Teaching over 1.5 million lessons per year, Music & Arts is the largest private lesson provider in the country. The course is practical and work-related covering all aspects of modern popular music including Rock, Jazz, Pop and World. The faculty consists of 15 regular research professors active in scholarship and performance, 5 adjunct faculty, and 19 performing artists who provide individual instruction in applied music.arts and musicarts and music

We appreciate you taking an interest in bringing steelpan culture to the Midwest and helping our students develop additional music skills and pan knowledge. Grants are normally awarded to registered charities or organisations in the process of applying for registration.
