Arts for Health at Manchester Metropolitan University is the UK’s longest established arts and health organisation. It has been developed to enhance the profile of arts and health in Australia and to promote greater integration of the arts and health practice and approaches into health services, settings and facilities. Over recent years, there has been a growing understanding of the impact that taking part in the arts can have on health and wellbeing. Results from new studies on cardiovascular prevention are due to be presented in mid-March at the 2017 American College of Cardiology Congress in Washington DC – findings from very large studies to test the effects of powerful new drugs to lower cholesterol.

She is also an independent art curator and has held a variety of project co-ordination and management roles in the arts industry and the tertiary education sector.
