Macquarie University’s programs are designed to keep you up-to-date with emerging media and industry practices while ensuring you have a strong understanding of traditional mass communication. Housed in the state-of-the-art Center for Arts & Media at the SLCC South City Campus, the School hosts a diverse array of academic programs offering two-year degrees and certificates, along with a large variety of classes fulfilling General Education requirements.
Recognized as a thriving arts center for Maryland, the college is at the center of Towson’s cultural life, with program offerings in art, dance, electronic media and film, mass communication and communication studies, music and theatre arts. Students are encouraged to seek internships in an area in which they would like to pursue a career.
Our new Arts, Literature and Communication program is built on the idea that students follow their own creative path. By taking part in activities with all of these organisations you can develop your skills and apply the knowledge you have learned on your course in a practical way.
Students will be introduced to the theory and practice of public relations as well as learning and applying industry-relevant skills. For students who love to connect with others, create and interpret messages that are shared and experienced by one to thousands, the theatre and communication arts program offers unlimited possibilities for future careers. They may choose to supplement their learning with professional placements relating to the media arts and production sector.
