Evanston’s lakefront will be transformed into a Global Village for the World Arts & Music Festival, a two-day celebration of global diversity. The programme will enable you to acquire a critical and analytical understanding of a detailed dissertation or composition topic; engage in the wider cultural and critical aspects of the relevant area of expertise by undertaking a research skills training module and an additional module from the School of Music or the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences’ pool.
In case you need a break from dancing, we also have a variety of hands-on activities for people and children of all ages including a science corner for kids, seed-ball making, a compost worm petting zoo, an arts and crafts table using recyclable materials, and more!
Now with a clear mandate, and a focus on our culturally rich metropolitan area, there are real opportunities for him to celebrate what is happening at grass-roots level alongside the offer of our bigger cultural players, whilst investing in culture and the arts as social determinants of health and wellbeing, for long-term social change.

Because of all of the amazing support in past years from the community, this year’s festival will take place at the Hagerty Center on NMC’s Great Lakes Campus where there will be more space for extra celebration and fun — and a huge bonus, it overlooks the beautiful West Bay!
