Art History Paintings In American History

THE SECRET HISTORY OF ART takes you on a series of private guided tours of the world’s greatest artworks. Vancouver Art Gallery is presenting an exhibition of work by Walker Evans, a preeminent American photographer who shaped the history of twentieth-century photography. Students from around the world enrol in this unique four-year program, which combines hands-on studio work at Sheridan with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Art History from the University of Toronto Mississauga. After research, I found out that SOAS was a prestigious school with notable alumni and also that I could study History of Art and Law as a joint degree, which is perhaps the only school in the world that offers this at the BA level.history of arts

Art history requires you to study and describe what you see in terms of the design elements of line, shape, color, value, and texture. Yet interest in the past is to a considerable extent formed by responses to visual artefacts, and the study of the visual arts is not as marginal as its ostensible function serving the art market and tourist industry would seem to imply.history of arts

Anyone of the forms practiced throughout history has a descent made from a cross-section of these influences and each influence had a different impact on its formation. In the four-year program, students complete a total of 39 credits in art history, 27 credits in other liberal arts disciplines, and 60 credits in studio coursework – approximately half of their coursework in academics and half in the studio.

Last Friday, we went to Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia which located in Jalan Lembah Perdana near by KL Bird Park and National Mosque. The Coliseum, the Stonehenge, and St. Peter’s Basilica is only a few examples of how great Europe was in history. Aimee Caya, a first-year doctoral student, and Kylie Fisher, a second-year doctoral student in the Department of Art History and Art, have received Graduate Dean’s Instructional Excellence Awards.
